In this episode of the Double Edged Sword Podcast, Father Genard will discuss the Hosanna, which marks Jesus Christ's triumphant entrance. Father Genard will delve into the comments by Mar Ishodad of Merv, explaining why Jesus did what he did. He will provide an in-depth analysis of each point, painting a vivid picture from Jericho to the house of olives, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in this 17-mile pilgrimage.
Father Genard explains two thousand twenty three years ago, the people were crying out "Hosanna," which symbolized their victory over Satan, sin, death, and other adversities through Jesus' power.
Father Genard then goes on to discuss how, yesterday, , we too cried out to the Lord, asking that we may sing praises to Him with the same voice and in the same cloud that He entered the Kingdom with.
As we enter the Passion Week, Father Genard urges us to take a moment to remember Jesus' suffering and sacrifice for our sins. We should never forget that every time we disobey, we add to the burden that He had to bear.
